1. The "Zero Retention" Guarantee
At FileCircle, we believe your files are yours. We do not want them, we do not inspect them, and we do not keep them.
- Client-Side Tools: Tools like Image Compression, Resizing, PDF Merging, and Split run entirely in your browser's memory. These files never leave your device and are never uploaded to any server.
- Cloud-Side Tools: Heavy processing tools (like Word to PDF) require secure cloud infrastructure. For these, files are uploaded over a secure connection, processed in an isolated container, and permanently deleted from our servers exactly 60 minutes after upload. This is enforced by automated cloud lifecycle rules.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We designed this app to function entirely without knowing who you are. We do not collect, require, or store:
- Names, email addresses, or phone numbers
- Account passwords (there are no accounts)
- Credit card information
- The contents or metadata of the files you process
3. Analytics and Abuse Prevention
To keep the service running smoothly and prevent abuse (like DDoS attacks), we use minimal, anonymized logging. This includes counting the number of requests per IP address to enforce our rate limits (e.g., 5 PDF conversions per minute). We do not use marketing tracking pixels or sell data to third-party advertisers.
4. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users by updating the date at the top of this page. Because we don't have your email address, we cannot email you about changes.
